Sourcing & shipping hood insulation

I need to replace my hood insulation. By its nature of being large and thin, can on line vendors ship it without lots of damage?

Most will not ship it, just go to your local dealer and buy it. It’s only $105 on Partsouq but
$400 to ship. I think I paid $230 at my local dealer. Msrp is $280.

2 months ago I bought it from the local dealer for $210. Also buy the clips 90467-09014 and they are $1.40 each.

Anything bulky like that I buy from the local dealer. Higher price is typically offset by elimination of shipping costs, and if something is damaged, I have the ability to see damage and not accept the part.

I talked with Dave as I’ve ordered other parts from him. Hood insulation is a problem due to size, shipping and potential for damage from Japan.
