Quick real time help here, I'm getting ready to order the SOR SS EGR tube, and SOR says "For proper installation order separately, #047-01 gasket, #047-12 nuts, & #047-13 washers-Must also purchase #047-26A ferrule & #047-27C nut, order separately"

I ordered the ferrule(s) and gaskets necessary from the dealer. Why do I need their nut, (047-27C)? Is it different from the original one on my stock tube, or can I reuse the nut from the stock tube? I don't want to buy parts I don't need, but I also want to do it right, and you can never tell from SOR if they're trying to get more money outta you.

Most likely the SS tubing is a different diameter and they compensate for this with there ferrell and nut

SOR calls for the same parts for both their SS tube and the stock tube, both new and used. Which is why I'm led to believe that they are all the same, hence I can use my dealer purchased ferrule and re-use my nut.

Bump, anybody have experience with this? If not, I'm just going to order the pipe and I'll update the thread with my results.

It's all the same. I used my old parts off the OEM tube. New nuts, though, at the manifold end... And new gasket, not the Kevlar.

I ordered the SS tube and new gasket from SOR and reused all of the factory hardware that came off of the origional factory tube. Actually the SOR gasket only lasted a few months and I ended up having to install an OEM Toyota gasket and all has been ducky for over a year. For whatever it's worth the SOR Gasket and the Toyota OEM gasket are identical in appearance and thickness. The cool thing about the SOR tube is the fit was perfect and the flange is thicker than the OEM tube which I suspect is why I have not had any exhaust leak problems since I installed it.
