Sonar / Park assist issue

I recently started getting a loud beeping along with an error message on the info screen and nav screen that says "check sonar", and shows the front passenger's corner highlighted. I did a search on the forum but can't find any mention of this error or what could be causing it. My truck hasn't ever been in an accident or anything, and nothing unusual has happened that could have caused it. First time I heard the alarm and saw the alert I was just sitting at an intersection waiting for the lights to change. The sensor itself appears to be clean with no bugs or anything blocking it.

Anyone ever had this issue or have any ideas where I should start to track it down? Any advice appreciated!

Perhaps a loose connection at the sensor? If that's not an issue, I'd swap this sensor with a known working one, and see whether the problem moves to the new location. If it does, you've probably got a bad sensor.

I've also been the bracket behind the sensor tweaked and will cause the same issue. Remember we have a very thin plastic bumper skin. Someone could if bumped it in the parking lot.

FYI .. I had that same issue then found that if I angle the one under the spare tire downward a little then they all worked good.

I solved this issue with a replacement harness. 82114-60130
one of the tiny sensor wires had broken. Maybe by someone replacing and repainting the bumper (PO). I also found the harness connector not clipped in properly, so I know someone had removed the original harness. This was my first clue.

Take a close look at those tiny wires.
