Does anyone have thoughts as to what this sound could be? It's best described as a muted cowbell (ie no long ring).

It happens more at low speed and I can hear it while driving on a smooth surface.

I can rock the car side to side hanging off my sliders and grabbing the roof rack, and there isn't any noise.

I can rock the steering back and forth while at a stop, and no noise.

I was thinking perhaps something with vgrs, but watching a few online videos from Russia, I'm not seeing anything obvious that could be making the noise.

The recording was made while holding my phone at calf height on my gas pedal leg.

The sound seems to be coming from up under the dash, but low, like near my knees and not behind the gauges.

Looking for ideas on where I could/should start looking.

After getting down low while my wife coasted 3 inches and then slammed on the brakes, I was able to pinpoint and stop the sound with my hand by touching the piece of support up above the frame but below the driver's leg/seat area.

My guess is that something was flexing/popping just a little and creating a WW2 style allied clicker that was resonating into the cabin.

what I have my hand on is above the frame rail.

I think this is good. I remember a strange resonation from that area. I'll check it.
