I'm at the end of my rope with this one trying to install a JTX led light kit with their wiring harness into a US model 80 with quad light conversation. To be honest I just don't think their system will work with a US model .. Anyone done this with success? if so help a brother out haha. Not to be rude are anything I've read through more threads on LEDS than I care to admit. So if your experience isn't with the JTX led kit . Please refrain from sharing how you did your holleys or other leds. My customer wants these lights. Trying to talk with JTX has proven difficult between the time zone issue and I don't think they have any clue how US models work.

all four lights come on at the same time with low . Wire the high beam in all 4 go brighter Nothing happens when you click high to low beam BUT at least the indicator light comes on hahaha.. Next step is take them out put holleys in or build my own harness..

I have JTX but can't help too much since my 80 is JDM. Is it their Super Loom you're using? How did you plug into the factory 9005/9006 connectors?

The closest US equivalent to the JTX harness that I've seen is the harness that @jcardona1 sells. There's a bunch of info on that product page about wiring and highs/lows, don't know if that helps.

In theory there's nothing special about the lights themselves. Should be able to use Jose's harness and plug right in.

Thank you I DMed him yesterday but haven't heard back . Didnt know what his web site was . Now I have it . I got it resolved this afternoon JTX sent a Non Us harness . They have the right one on the way

I don’t know much about JTX but I installed 4, Morimito sealed beams on my wife’s HJ61 and they are crazy good. Extremely sharp cut off. Very bright with out blinding oncoming traffic. The 4 combined is better than our 2013 Audi S6 by far.

Something about that first photo makes it appear like a wide body. I dig the 80 with the sealed beams
Me too the old school non US turbo grill just finishes it off

FWIW:

Watch this:

Apples to oranges comparison. Those lights were almost certainly LED bulbs tossed in a set of headlight housings designed for a halogen bulb. Every light mentioned in this thread is manufactured with a LED and is not going to blind oncoming traffic if aimed correctly. Some of the mentioned lights (maybe all) are even DOT approved.

For future reference, or anyone else that comes along, I make harnesses that solve this problem.

Pimping your product is fine . But it has absolutely nothing to do with the JTX LED lighting system . I bought the same harness and you make off amazon for my personal non led quad light conversion for 20 bucks a harness .

I've actually read bad reviews on the JTX blinding oncoming drivers Because they are designed for a right hand drive rig. I don't see how that is. JTX doesn't label the bulbs pass or driver so I don't see how it would . I'm with you on adjustment being key . Ive ran leds in reg us head light for years in my daily I get flashed every now and then . That just gives me a chance to knock the dust off my ARBs on the frt bumper .

but wait.webp

I basically wish to be high-beamed, because then I'll have an excuse to melt their corneas and burn their shadows into their seatbacks, but alas, my HIDs are properly aimed, and it's never happened once. 😥

I guess I misunderstood the problem you were having. My apologies. I'm glad you got it worked out, though.

No worries...Now I have your info as well on the next non JTX set I do as well ! The JTX have some type of a module with a circuit board it's a little more complex than just using relays to produce a ground . Thats why I posted for experience only with the JTX I wasn't sure what they are doing in there and how it effected the lights. To be honest I was scared to experiment with them and risk burning up the module. Hence the post. Still don't know what they have going in that module after a few days of back and fourth with them we got it figured out and they are sending a new wiring harness. They seemed pretty clueless to the US models. TIP to anyone buying the JTX kit make sure your tell them when you order it is a converted US Model. Other than the wiring issues it's a nicely made kit.
