This is my first year and my wife is harassing me about what to expect. since I don’t know first hand and I can’t really find much in the threads, I figured I’d ask. I’ve heard this is a fairly informal “event”. What’s to be expected on a day in day out basis? I know what to expect of the trails, meaning more what the hitting the trails in groups is like, how early people head out etc. We’re staying in the KOA fwiw.

I’ll also have my 6 year old daughter with me, what kid friendly stuff is there to do other than the given? Any thoughts would be a big help.

posting a pic of our rig, 1990 HZJ73 swapped to a 1HDT.

Welcome! Well, you could read the article this month in Toyota Trails titled; SAS4 A reunion of family, friends, and 4wheel drives! You'll love the event, I do!

That would be very welcome guys. We can always use coffee.

Thanks for the comments. It confirms what I thought But at least now I can Get my wife off my arse… at least to that point.

I definitely want to take them around to the CO towns and ghost towns like animas fork. I was In Ouray in 2019 and saw a lot but they’ve never done CO during the summer and I’m trying to get her addicted to it. Also, my wife works for a company called solo stove. If we can get a donation for the raffle, who do we talk to?

also, I have bull elk tag for CO so if anyone wants to bs about elk hunting and land cruisers, I’m your guy.

For those of you interested in joining the Texas Convoy this year here is the thread.

We’re in! Going to leave Thursday morning, overnight in Little Rock, then see you in Amarillo Friday afternoon.

Solo stoves are awesome! We will have at least one at our camp (if a certain Johnson brother remembers to bring it 😬). That would be a GREAT raffle item, Casey!

I hunted elk in CO for over 20yrs (with a Golden Triangle crew dating back to the 70’s). I speak the language fluently…

@Manitou Decline did you find the sway bar brackets? If not i can bring some to CO with me that you can have.. let me know.

Be reading this myself. I just finally signed up TLCA today. Tracy (headed up the Colorado chapter) was in our shop working with us and it reminded that I have been meaning to sign up. Now I get the Toyota Trails magazine. So looking forward to reading your article.

@wfd175 and I will make it to the Moab area on the 28th. Maybe early evening of the 27th. We were thinking of doing a few of the typical Moab trails and then disappearing into the desert. Maybe far out into Beef Basin or ???

@thatcabledude @Jason hansen
I’m down for whatever. We’ll definitely have to meet up.

Well got the new intercooler in. Fuel leak fixed. Took a hoodlatch off of a 83 mini truck so the latch won't put holes in the 60 latch did. Then it was performance check time.
