Anyone using the conversion hubs for D60? How much do I have to open up my wheel centers to make them work? My center measures just shy of 4.25".

not at all. the rims I ran on my drum brake 40 axle fit right on the 6 lug dana 60 hubs no worries. the lug stud holes even fit over the 9/16 dana 60 lug studs but it is just barely. the rim center seems to be fine. You can also get the 6 lug hubs from doug brown at extreme axle if he is still around. goes by highonda on pirate4x4.

Good deal, thanx man. I am really having issues trying to figure out what I am going to do with new project.
FWIW I did a hybrid axle with a land cruiser 40 series center chunk and dana 60 outers. ( inner C's, knuckles, brakes, hubs all dana 60 stuuf). I did it cause I had spare third members already built with arbs so cost wise it was good for me cause I could break alot and have spares and it meant 0 d-line changes. The benefits of having 2 arb's in the rig and 2 in the spare thirds.
