Hi,

I am a one man splicing shop working off the coffee table. I go by ChanMadeGear. Find me on Instagram for orders I fulfilled and Etsy. I'd do prefer email/paypal processing to avoid fees. No funny business. I can show you feedback thread from sailing forum.

I make soft shackles using only Samson AmSteel-Blue. When looking for soft shackles, you want to see sellers mention the main fiber, Dyneema, or Plasma. These are the top HPME fibers for synthetic rope. Many sellers only mention UHMWPE which is unbranded from a random factory. Samson is the strongest name in the rope industry since the 1870s. They use Dyneema in their AmSteel-Blue rope. This is all I use.
I currently work with 7/64, 3/16, 5/16, and 7/16. The sailing, camping, and arborist community have been using my shackles and I've gotten very positive reviews.

Guessing most want 7/16 for recovery. I am selling (1) 8" for $31 + $6 shipping with tracking. I can make all sizes so if you want others, let me know what you want and I'll work with you.

For a pair (2) of 7/64:
1" and less =7.25
2" = $8
3" = $8.50
4" = $9
6" = $10.
Each additional inch is an extra .50 cents
Shipping for 7/64 is $2 first class large envelope, no tracking. If you but woth other sizes, only pay that other shipping.

For a pair (2) of 3/16:
4" = $20
6" = $23
8" = $26
Each additional 2" is an extra $3.
Shipping is $5 with tracking.

I haven't made prices for 5/16 yet. If you'd like those, I will work on them

For all the shackles, I offer 2 styles: with bury and non bury, 2 strands.

Looks like good stuff. Do you have any load ratings associated with the different diameters?

Thanks for reaching out! I just sent a reply.

I also do 1/2 and 3/4. This was a request from expeditionportal.com. Just shipped 2 of them out to a repeat customer.

I also created a 1/2 mooring line / tow line with 7/16 loops, for a customer. I lock stitch with 1/16 Lash-it. 8' is the minimum length line in order to adhere to Samson's Class II Splicing guide, which results in a perfect full bury. If it was longer than 8' I can either continue with a full bury (cost for material will increase) or bury the specified by Samson. Buyers choice. The full bury does increase the strength.

I can/have made these same tow lines out 3/16, 5/16, 7/16, etc.

I also do 1/2 soft shackles. Everything is also on my Etsy ChanMadeGear. If you search soft shackles, you'll most likely find me and pics with the same background as the ones in this thread. I do prefer transactions direct to avoid the fees though. I let all buyers know and let them choose. I've done many many triple digit order direct. Largest was an $800 order via venmo.

Prices increased a little but still very reasonable.

Attached are some more pics. These pics are all orders I completed, with the exception of the one showing all the various sizes.

if I t That would be very nice! They have some good videos about UHMWPE rope like Plasma and Dyneema. Under UHMWPE, Dyneema and Plasma are the two rope materials / names to look for when buying rope. If a product just says UHMWPE and doesn't mention Dyneema or Plasma, be very cautious because that means it's grtting rope from some no name factory with unknown quality and reputation.

They have great material on UHMWPE rope, specifically Plasma and Dyneema. When you buy rope products, look for the name Plasma or Dyneema, and not just UHMWPE. These two materials are trusted and 100%. If they just mention UHMWPE, be very cautious because that means the rope is coming from a random factory with unknown reputation. Lots of shackles on Amazon only mention UHMWPE. Not saying they are necessarily bad but more unknown/unpredictable for something high stakes.
