Hello....finally got back into a LC, this time its a 93 locked 80 series, rear springs/shocks are very spongy, what do I need to do about this....do I change just the shocks or springs, or both?

When I go over a bump, I continue bouncing up and down at least 5 times after the initial bump.

Thanks....

Dave:confused:

Shocks. Change the front ones as well. They're shot (or near) too.

If those are original springs why not change them to.
Upgrade to OME for a real nice ride:cheers:

Stiffer than OEM.
OME>OEM:cheers:

Well typically when you bounce like that its almost always shocks. You can have them checked out though if you have a good four wheel parts store around.

Dave, before you spend any money do a search on suspensions. Figure out your intended use and look at others that have the same. Look on Slee Offroads Website, http://www.sleeoffroad.com/ for some of the better options from stock height to 6" lifts. Do it right the first time.
Cheers,
Sean

thx

Thank you all for the advice.....I picked this LC up dirt cheap 3800 bucks!!! so i dont mind spending a few bucks on it. I will look into a lift kit as I plan on off roading.....
