Does the drum master work OK with the disks? I'm converting my '82 drum troopie to disks and wondering how the master works. Your Troopie looks sweet.

the drum master works good so far. i read somewhere to remove the limiting diaphram thingy where the brake lines screw into the master cylinder. i did that and they work like they should.

Thanks for the info on the master, I'll be sure to pull the residual valves. *right click, save* The middle pic, front shot with the horns is now my desktop.

Just curious.When you did the swap, did you use the forty springs or the troopie springs.
And if you used the troopie springs did you remove any leaves from the rear.
Am concidering doing this swap on mine, but have 2" lift 10 leaf heavy duty springs in the rear.

i used the troopy springs so i wouldn't have to move any hangers. i did remove all of the overload leaves, and i may take one more out until it settles down a bit.

update:
it rides great. smooth and comfortable as you could imagine. cornering with the top on was a little uncomfortable, so i extended the sway bars and that solved that problem. with the top off, there is little to no body roll, so i'm leaving the sway bars disconnected. it flexes well, but there is always the long ass end hanging around. other than that it wheels great. i've got the arb's and longfields in with some power steering and am having problems with belt squeel, but love the way she drives on the trail. very smooth ride and can haul 11 people. nice............

Mine does that for a spell at 3000 rpms...

I am going do soa on my 1980 HJ45 Troopy. Do you use original leaf springs? I really would like to get 38's under it. Do you think I will need a body lift or lifted leafs?
My troopy currently fits 35's with some minor rubbing. Also what length shockers do you end up fitting?
Any info appreciated.

i used all the original springs minus the overload leaves. i don't remember the length of the shocks. if you can fit 35's now, soa should allow you to run 38's. you may still get some rubbing, but that's alot of rubber under there.
