So the GT2052 turbine is 47 inducer 72 trim/ compressor 37.6/52.2
TD04L turbine 46.8 inducer 77 trim / compressor 40.64/ 56.01
Looks like the same rotating mass pretty much with the GT flowing more exhaust in housing size (.50A/R vs .41) and the TD04L flowing a little more on turbine trim (77 vs 72)
The TD will spool sooner, but the GT will run less backpressure at higher rpms.
The GT does 78% in the middle vs 76% for the TD04L for efficiency
Its a toss up for me cus the GT will run with less back pressure up top, but the TD has a better compressor. That is kind of a mute point considering the td04L would choke out at higher rpms and would not let you run past 3000 anyhow (my guess). Both compressors could do high boost in very low rpms and it would be extremely difficult to get them to surge.
It looks like the GT is designed for broader operating efficiency range, where as the 13T is very specific and able to handle gobs of boost. That is not to say this little turbo can make gobs of boost, just the compressor is able to.
Here are the compressors mapped for 12 psi 1000, 1200, 1450, 1700, 1950, 2200, 2600, 3000 rpm
