its that time of the year at work where, the work at the offices slow down for a couple of weeks. And I get by with putting in an 8 hour day. Which is nice because it Allows was me time to work on the cruiser more and more consistently. THe next big project is the dreaded A pillar leak. The windshield gasket and windshield were replaced last year but I still have an A pillar leak. Or it could be leak in channel in front of the firewall where the windshield wiper motor is.

So my two big diabolical questions are what type of seam sealer are you using for the A pillar and the windshield channel where wiper motor is located?????

What are the techniques you have been using to apply the seam sealer ?????

Thanks in advance. Jason

I used this stuff for the drip rails. Worked really well. You have to buy the gun to apply. Bought from Eastwood.com. Paint supplies. As far as the windshield, the glass shop did the job, so I would ask a couple shops what they use.

Thanks 2mountainfish !!!!!! Please keep the please keep the suggestions coming !!!!!! I like to walk in to the local auto parts store with options. The people at the local O'reily's and Auto Zone keep pushing the cheap silicone base crap. I know. Been there, done that and it does not work.

Never use silicone based sealers. It will cause rust. Eastwood has a lot of how to videos on youtube and their website. If you go to my build thread in my signature line, you can see what I did to repair my drip rails.

Looking at doing the same things since I have the same leak. Getting ready to paint my truck so I want to get it taken care of before paint but really I have not been able to accurately locate the leak. I do have a small one in the corner of the windshield gasket but believe my A-Pillar leaks as well...

Found this write-up a while back. Rain Gutter seam and drip rail reseal
Plan for me is to grab some of the self-leveling stuff like he did.
