Yep still have it! Spring and summer are super busy for me so not a lot of time to work on projects or post updates, but all ops are normal for the BJ74.

Finally got out and drove the 74 around, got to enjoy some long awaited rain.

Nice to have some mud on the side and not just dust!

Sooo, That roof rack you have on there.. Can you tell me more? It looks familiar but I am wondering what you did specifically to mount it and what the sizing ended up being. What brand? Is it a Front Runner Rack?

Any info on what mounts you used if it is a front runner would be great.

Trail tailor is the best 70 series roof rack going. The limiting factor is the fiberglass rails but so long as your not hauling concrete blocks, TT has the rack.

Ahhh cheers, Yes I have already contacted Trail Tailor but unfortunately the manufacturer for the gutter mounts is no longer in biz so until something equivalent comes along they wont be making any more...:-(

You guys beet me to it! The rack has been great! That is a bummer that the gutter mounts is not available. Have you looked at the Gamaviti gutter mounts? I have one of his racks on my 80 and don't see why those would not work. Good luck.

It has been way too long since I did an update on this thread, unfortunately I don't have any new build updates on the cruiser. Life has been kinda busy this past year with work and moving from NM to ID so cruiser projects have been put on hold for now. But I have been out and about in the cruiser so that has been nice. The truck did great on the drive from NM to ID. Held 65mph for the most part and EGTs were happy. The drive was quite enjoyable just cruising along, the 13BT just humming the whole way. The only gripe was with the gear ratio in the auto. There were certain grades on the Hwy that it just did not get along with the A440F , flat is fine and steep is fine but there is a moderate grade in the middle of 3rd and 4th that would make me drop speed to keep the RPM/EGTs happy, where on steeper grades I could lay into it just fine. After the drive I got H55F enve pretty bad!

This past spring I got it in my head that maybe now was not the right time to have two cruisers, so I started kicking around the idea of selling the 74. The Idea has since passed but I thought I would share some of the glamour shots I took for a possible add to bring some life back to this thread.
