Snow Run 2.0 - Jemez Sat Jan 28th

Frank found a potential trail just before the Gilman Tunnels in the Jemez that does not have a gate and may have snow at the higher elevation. We have not explored this trail and would like to see if anybody is up to try this Saturday. Ali's snow run option unwound, so this is one last attempt to pull off a run.

We would propose to meet at the Walatowa Visitor Center at 0930. We will go if we get at least 1 other truck confirmed to join us (Frank is riding in my Hundy).

Post up if you will be there. If we get no response, then we may schedule for another day.

I would want to be back before 5. So unless the recovery gods have different plans, you should be good. Don't need a crawler I don't think.

Great to hear you will be joining us. That makes 3 trucks. I'm going to dig out my chains just in case we find snow.

Frank, Grant, Erich/Loren et al. all had a great run. The trail was very fun - steep, with many rocks and ledges. At the top, 6" of snow. Very nice.

We also heard there were some good spur roads with lots of snow around Fenton Lake (without gates).
