Well, I was really looking forward to this but I’m out. Currently sitting in the parking lot at the Animal Emergency Hospital in Lees Summit. One of the fur children ran out in the road and was hit by a truck tonight. He took a good hit, has a large laceration on his chest but is currently stable. Waiting to find out what treatment will be needed and how deep in the wallet I’ll need to dig.

2020 sucks.

So very sorry to hear this. @StucknKS had really good luck with K-State Vet clinic when his dog got hit if you want a second opinion.

I have to work Thursday, but hoping to get out by 3:00 - 4:00.

Kesslers, Holloway, and Peggy/Rob leaving about noon on Thursday.

Looks like a chance of Rain on Saturday, but awesome temps for camping! I do love fall.

Look forward to seeing everyone there. If anyone is arriving late, more than willing to setup a tent and reserve a spot for you!

In case anyone was wondering, the snack bar will not be open this weekend.

I'm still planning on coming down Saturday morning (baring anything coming up Friday that derails my plans) and hope find a group of you guys to join on a few trails. Is there anything I need to do besides just show up at the reserved camp sites before 9:00? I assume that the group will be pretty obvious as I don't personally know anyone.

It'll be obvious. Look for a Red School Bus and a Dodge Cummins that i believe is currently Maroon.
They will probably be camped past the showerhouses approx 150 yards on the right under the biggest tree that is located just before the gate that goes into the park.
If you drive thru the gate you went too far.

FYI, the dodge it's here, but the red bus didn't make it. Look for the gaggle of 80's. Just past the shelter in the right.

Fun weekend!

Thanks to all for letting us join in today. Noah and I had a great time. It was great to meet such a really cool group of people like you all. Looking forward to more events like this and getting more involved in Tornado Alley Cruisers.

So this is when you get a mixture of a trip down memory lane and a trip down rocky road

More pics. Really was a beautiful weekend minus a few hours of sprinkles on Saturday.
