I just bought a 1990 FJ62...

I know nothing about these cruisers yet.

I won't actually take posession of it for a few more weeks, but the guy says that the only thing that needs to be done to register it in CA, is to reconnect the smog pump, and that the smog pump belt is missing...

Can anybody translate that for me, and tell me where I can get the belt that I need. So far in my searches I can't find a "smog pump belt". I've found "V-Belt", "Power Steering and Air Pump Belt", etc, etc...

BTW - this is the cruiser I got:

Howdy! The Air Pump Belt is the one you need. But, the rest of the system may be missing parts. There is a anti backfire valve, vacuum operated control valve, hoses, injector harness. Make sure they are all there and operate correctly. So, this is a Colorado truck, in California, that does not pass emissions, and you are moving it to Illinois? John

No - I'm moving to CA in a few weeks, and it'll be there waiting for me.

It was originally a California truck. The original owner bought it in California, and moved to Colorado. A few months after moving the original owner sold it to the person that I'm buying it from - who is a Colorado native. That guy moved back to California after buying the Cruiser. Since he kept it registered in CO, he said that he disconnected the Smog Pump, and that everything should be fine if I just replace the belt...

Here is the schematic for the parts associated with the air injection system. The Air Pump is the device in the middle that is not really identified as a part--it's specified on a different diagram. Also belos is the v-belt routing. The Air pump shares a belt with the alternator and the power steering pump (vane pump). Good Luck and welcome to CA!
