Just picked up a new daily beater, but I'm kinda spoiled on having dual batts in my Land Cruiser as a safety

I'd like to get a small, cheap portable jump box that either charges from the cig lighter/USB port or can be wired directly under the hood, but it has to be a maintenance free smart box (one that cycles itself, stays charged and won't get discharged along with my battery in the case of leaving an accessory on)

What are some good options?

Antigravity xp-10 or other Antigravity models get good reviews on amazon. I've got the xp10, but only had for a week or so.

It doesn't wire under the hood but the anti gravity XP3 is pretty fantastic. You can charge it off your cig lighter, and it will hold that charge for weeks, months even, riding around in the back of the rig. I bought one because I got tired of trying to pull my vehicle battery to battery with everybody I was jumping. Its so much easier to just grab that little pack, sashay over to their car, then start it right up. People think because of the size it will never get them jumped, but its very deceiving.

GB30 12V Lithium Jump Starter | NOCO Genius The Genius is rated peak at 400 Amps.
http://themicrostart.com/products/micro-starts/ The xp-10 is 300 Amps peak at 600 Amps.

Does anyone have real experience in the back country and using one of these to boost themselves? I think the
technology is amazing, and I would think that keeping something like this in my truck will be as required as a
spare tire.
Would anyone with a 12H-T let me know if you would be able to start your engine with the XP-10?
Do you think 300A peak 600A booster would start your truck?

Another vote for portability of the antigravity…Not exactly what you asked for but mine's been great for a variety of jumps…I'm still working on the "sashay" part….I'm more of a saunterer….I've used it to successfully jump my 24 volt 13BT….

'cause when your 'lectric winch stops you're going to need a jump?
