well ive been thinking about it for too long and now I have to figure out what the hell Im doing with this project

so I have a 307sb, a lakewood scattershield set up for the toy 4spd and a 71 landcruiser to put it in ,I need some alternatives to the back of transfercase style crossmember (dont really like the idea of it)

has anyone used bellhousing mounts to support the tranny and transfercase?Pics??

I know that the old chevy trucks (2wd) had two mounts on the motor and two on the bellhousing

I could use AA style mounts on the engine and two custom mounts of the bellhousing to the frame , but would that hold up ???

any ideas or opinions on this would be appreciated

Steel bellhousing?

IMO, great idea....one thing I hate on mine is the AA back-of-the-t-case crossmember, tho I've "tweaked" it to work fairly well.

Once you get it hanging and positioned, start creating ideas. I noticed today that SpaceGhost mounted his Atlas from ABOVE the t-case, a very kewl idea I hadn't thought of. (tho, impractical for the full body rigs)

If you opt for the bellhousing mount, I'd perhaps consider a front-of-the-block motor mount and not the standard side mount...you do want some distance between them....
