My check engine light came on in my 97 LC so we took it to get it diagnosed and they came back saying the #1 O2 sensor had slow response...whatever that means. I am by no means a mechanic and don't pretend to be, so I was wondering what if anything could be done. I hope this makes sense, I'm pretty new here and am still trying to learn all I can. Thanks.

they can't be fixed. You should at minimum replace the bad o2 sensor but it is better to replace both 02 sensors since they tend to have the same life cycle and can be performing below spec without throwing a code. This is something you can do yourself if you have the FSM and you can save money ordering the parts from C-Dan even if you pay someone else to put it in.

Thanks, I appreciate the quick reply. I'll get in touch with CDan.

Just wear eye protection! man i got some stuff in my eye when i replaced the #1 sensor. Dont forget the new gasket and anti-sieze the threads.
