slider 3m tape removal --

I had my '94 out last night, and it has its newly-added slee sliders on it --

-- they didn't come with traction-tape on them, so I put it on, thinking it would help for traction --

-- it does, but the negatives of it outweigh that positive --

-- getting in and out of the truck is tricky, especially when you have a strip of gritty black stuff awaiting your shin --

I will take the tape off this weekend -- lesson learned --

You can buy some 3M stuff that gives traction but isn't gritty. They use it on ladders and such. Look at Lowes or Pep Boys has something very similar.

Not to question your decision, but couldn't it be simpler to stop banging your shin into the slider? I mean, hey - I've got some sharp knives in the drawer and a long time ago I quit picking them up by the sharp end, ya know?? Heh.
