I wanted a traxxas slash because I needed a basher as I built up my crawler to the BEST possible setting;)

So far so good! Immediately put on 3s lipo battery pack after a day of bashing. I wanted more speed and power and wow! 3s is the way to go! Team losi has a new $30 adapter which allows nimh and nicd chargers to charge lipo packs, not a bad deal! I got a new spur gear and have yet to install it. Here are my pics so far!

So far the cost is

$400 for the traxxas slash 4x4 with brushless setup, $90 for the lipo battery pack, $30 for the adapter.

Anybody have any suggestion to a better motor? Or the next best upgrade besides RPM arms, because I have those coming soon:grinpimp:

So I got a dynamite 5000mah 3s Lipo battery pack on ebay for $50 shipped, along with a lipo charger for $22...returned the ones I got at the hobby store and invested in some other upgrades!

After some backyard bashing and an awkward landing, I bent and broke the front suspension arm and the front shock came apart, I will rebuild them so I can have a spare set in case my proline shocks break as well. For the front suspension arms, I got golden horizon aluminum suspension arms. The new front shocks are proline adjustable coilovers...so the equivalent of king racing shocks:Dhaha

Here is the new look along with the broken parts...I guess my blackeberry takes good pics:D

I love my Slash 4x4 :)

Got it from Tower for $304 bucks shipped last year (coupon special) and stepped up to a 3s pack from John the Battery Guy about a week after it arrived and never looked back

The stock Velineon is more than enough for my needs, so I can't really recommend another motor :hmm:

Those that step up to the Castle motors usually do so because they're having problems with the LVC and overheating with the stock setup, but I have yet to run into these problems :meh:

I would suggest getting a proper charger to replace the adapter though :)

A Thunder or Sky can be had for about $60 bucks and will charge just about any battery out there :grinpimp:
