gonna head up to Deer Creek tomorrow so the G-kids can swim while Bobby blasts his .22 and I go rockhounding around some of the tailing piles.

Yeah, I almost bought a sewing machine from a guy that looked a lot like him but I was going to use it to make para-sails and he had been using it to make his own ballistic dog sweaters and it was kind of worn out but we ended up talking about how to make bread flour out of dried cat tail roots. Probably a different guy though.

I don't know what the big deal with making an expedition rig is? Ty and I made the Suburban expedition ready in less than 5 minutes and for the price of free!
Yeah that's a full size futon in there! Plus frame! because then you can haul it out and use it for a couch on the beach too. Do that with your super expensive roof top tent! Need to work on my spare tire location though.

Notice the A/C vents directly on you for those hot nights. I would've put in a full size ceiling fan but that may have been dangerous.

...and I don't know what kinda expedition it'd be unless it had a full size keg within arms reach of the driver!

I figure this setup is good for about a week in Baja...as-is, nothing else needed. Total conversion cost. $0.

Damn. I knew shoving it there, it looked comfy. But more I think about it, that looks super comfy!

Surprised the keg isn't strapped down on the bed. If you drain it laying down there's little risk of falling down!

I think I'll keep my super expensive roof top tent!

So is anyone wheelin today?

I wish I was, but got lazy. We are camping at Deer Creek in a week and a half, I'm sure there will be some for of exploring/wheeling going on. Join us for a day/night/weekend, always a good time!

Matt

Take what you need to explore the crevices for gold. The water is very low and there is probably areas that aren't so easily accessed.

So I need a Subaru engine shipped here but it seems like most of the freight companies are only willing to deliver to a dock or if you have a forklift.... So does anyone have one or the other that they'd be ok with me using? I can think of a million ways to get an engine out of the back of a truck including just backing a pickup up to it, I just don't know how cool the semi driver would be with that. Anyone with experience with this sort of thing chime in. The engine is only a couple hundred pounds so it could easily be pushed around on the pallet.

So what's the date for the Deer Creek camping?
THis coming Fri-Sun. :) Think some are headed out 6ish Friday.

I'm waiting to know if my kiddo is joining or not. Not = I'll be there fri night. Kiddo = Sat mid morning.
