What happened to the last minute runs and heading into the woods at the drop of a dime? Hmmm, just realized the last phrase isn't relevant anymore, damn that must be what happened....age

Promptu wheeling has been some of the best trips I've had.
I agree, but usually involves myself with no one else to join. Sure I can throw up a post or what not, reality is even as a club and schedule a club meeting MONTHS in advance we get about about 30% participation. Now if you would like to carry that stat onto actually wheeling trips/events it is more like 12%. Throw in random Saturday within 12hrs notice. ,,,,, you see where I'm going.
The economy has taken a toll I think on everyone. For myself as I get older nothing seems to get better. When I say better it's simply $$ that keeps us from going more. And I've seen clubs come on strong, have "flush" and happy times and then after a while people's circumstances and family responsibilities are always there to intrude on "fun". Had I a tank that never emptied and tires that never wore out we'd be out more for sure. There was a meeting in GP that we couldn't make because no gas $$ or $$ for the meal. It sucks. We have not even been on a campout since last year, much less wheeling. But for the "anchor" members of this club- you know who you are- don't despair. You're still young, and I'm sure many good times are gonna come your way. If Ty and Jesse had not reached out to help me way back when, my cruiser would not even be running. I'm glad I paid and planned to make it this weekend, only 2 more plasma donations to fill my tank and we're off! Hang in there and wheel when you can. For me I have a lot of good memories. If I can't go I can just watch the replays in my head and wait for next time. Looking forward to this weekend.

Why do kids these days need to have their whiskey flavored?? WTF! When I drank, Southern Comfort was(one of) my friend(s). I just found a half a bottle from a party the kids had. CHERRY flavored SC...?! Damn.

I'll try it. Typically the only flavors I like in my whiskey is cinnamon or honey. I will mix it with things though!

I know right?! Read his build thread some time ago and seen the pics of it at some of the shows.
No matter what you drive or how much you spend you'll always run across another one somewhere that reminds you your rig ain't finished yet.
