Just outta curiosity does anyone else in the club do any home brewing? A buddy and I just started, this is our first batch but I can definitely see how its a little addictive. This is an Irish Stout similar to Guinness although we will be bumping the alcohol content a little to around 5.5% hopefully. We'll see how it turns out!

How's the Brew Business going?? :meh:

I've got the start to your chopper bike. Built this for a guy a couple of months ago, and yes it started as a 16 toyota alloy.

Memorial Day hydroplane races...

Is anyone planning to go watch the boat races on the Rogue River during the upcoming Memorial Day Boatnik celebrations?? I'm not sure I wanna be in town with all the crowds but I've always wanted to get a nice spot either near Griffin Park or Finley Bend where I can picnic with my feet in the water and watch the racing. Anyone planning to attend this year or if not any advise from previous trips??:meh:

Problem: kids throw there bikes everywhere and I trip over them on the way to the freezer.

My Solution: Sell the kids to a foreign country in need of child labor.

Mandy's Solution: Build the kids a bike rack.

Well you can guess who won. I took some measurements and discovered that a pair of front coil springs leftover from the 80 we lifted a while ago had the perfect 2" spacing and were just sitting behind the garage. I found some scrap metal a buddy gave me in the pile and got to work.

PROBLEM!

The plan:

This was just a test fit but all I did was finish welding and paint it after this.

I envy the time you have on your hands.... really I do.

Can you ship me off to a 3rd world slave labor country?

When we were kids if Dad ever tripped over stuff(mostly our shoes) he would just chuck them up on the roof. That was also when we only had one pair of shoes. Good idea for the bike "rack" though.

OME 2.5" Heavy with new poly bushings, U bolt flip kit, shocks and shackles. DONE! That ought to improve the weight carrying capacity substantially.

Thanks so much Jesse! Besides being a little higher I really couldn't tell a difference in the ride. It drove quite nice and, I believe it has more power now!! :hillbilly::D I owe you!

Looks good Jesse! Don't over load it and break it again this year Chris. :flipoff2:

Remember Travis, I gotta load everything that you take- then multiply in X 5 and that's what I gotta carry! Can hardly "go light" unless I'm out for a Sunday drive. I may make a trip out your way next weekend. Need anything from Dreadford?? I'm gonna try to go by Kief's to drop off some springs. I can drop it off.

PS- I'm still in need of a good quality used tire(31-33 x 10.5-12.5 x 15) to use for a spare. I can pay a few $$ for it)

I have a cruiser wheel and tire here, if it fits it's yours.
I can fit a week for three in one backpack...or a weekend snow camping with me and three twenty year olds in a Samurai, with the hard top on. You could condense, just a suggestion to save others from trail repairs.

I'll keep that in mind. I'll especially make sure I'm ahead of you in line! :D I'd like to try and make the Pre-run this year If I can swing it, you know- for a shake down run. Can you follow behind and pick up all the parts that fall off? We can put 'em back on at Sourdough!

So, you're coming in the Sammy then right?? Or does the 80 give you more room for "things"...?

And if it will fit I'd love to take that tire off your hands, appreciate the offer!

My pappy had a saying "Duck me once shame on you, duck me twice shame on me." and another about insanity being defined as doing the same things expecting different results. Last year I did rock the Sammy and had plenty of room. For the pre run I'm also prolly rocking the Sammy. So yeah right in front of me is fine, it's small enough to squeak on by no matter where you break down :flipoff2: And even in the Bronco the club never had to wrench in my rig on the trail, so maybe I have a little more room to over load my rig.

All kidding/jabbing aside, pre run would prolly be a great idea. Get the kinks worked out and figure out what gear can stay home before inconvenience befalls our official TLCA run.

Yeah I still don't know who left it here but it's yours

That'll work great Travis, thanks!

BTW, Pre-run is not this weekend but the next right?? 6/8-6/9...??:meh:
