Forgot to invite everyone again but we went to Vegas last weekend.
Saw Korn at the House of Blues, their openers sucked but Korn was playing their first album and it was pretty darned good. I don't know how they can still head-bang when they're like, freaking old. I'm younger than them and I haven't been able to turn my head to the right ever since the concert. It was still awesome though.

Then Mandy finally got her Britney Spears concert! If you ever want to be treated like a famous person by random people just dress up like a hot chick... and be a dude. It took more than a few libations to get me to go out like this. Oops I did it again!

Yeah, that's Britney like 30 feet behind us, we're practically best friends now. And just a heads up... people don't dress up at Britney Spears concerts. I think we were the only ones... and yeah, I got that "work b**ch" hat the chick in front of us is wearing, only mine says the real thing.

*Picturing Jesse at the card tables saying " Hit me baby ONE MORE TIME!" :P

Ok, just realized I'm nuts! Used the winch on the FJ60, snatched off the FJ40 in the shop to pull the blue FJ55 up into the shop while trying to avoid the orange FJ55. Uh yeah, I've got issues. Blue FJ55 is getting the TBI engine and 4l80e tranmission outta that white suburban behind it, the 350 engine in the blue FJ55 is getting rebuilt and going in my 59 Chevy and the sm465 transmission is going into the FJ40 in the shop. Good times!

In case anyone was curious what scrap metal is going for... It's somewhere around $10 a ton! I dropped off 950 pounds of metal today and literally got $4.80! Plus my trailer got a flat tire in the parking lot which was a real kick in the nuts!

Go buy a gallon can, usually it involves cleaning out fine passages that may be clogged or just disassemble and get a couple cans of carb cleaner and start from there. The dip makes it look pretty but you still need to make sure all the ports get clean.

Saturday run up to Holcomb Peak. Couldn't quite make it as the recent clear cut caused drifting over the road just before the turn to head up through the gate.

My sister in law, whom is a vegetarian, made this bacon Christmas tree. I think I ate 2 lbs of bacon today.

Christmas:::::

My girlfriend Margot bought me a first edition copy of The Heart of the Antarctic by Earnest Shackleton, along with some rock climbing gear. I bought myself a Kindle (kicking and screaming into the 21st century...)

What did you guys get? Huh? Huh???

Hey, I got 3.5 days off, got to hang with the fam', cut some firewood with fam', read a book and got a bag for a toy. I hope you're havin' a good time down there..

The 40's "new" engine is ready to come off the stand and be mated to the SM465! Personally, I think she looks pretty good. I can’t wait to see it surrounded by Smurf Blue.

Also for your listening enjoyment, here is a link to the engine running before it was sold by the previous owner:

After all of the turmoil the end of 2015 threw me, I am off to a new start and this 40 is now a lot higher on my priority list.

Excellent! Wish you where closer, been jonsing to work on stuff. Plus you need to get that 40 rolling!

So all mighty JSC, what do I do.

I'm pretty much over this Diesel swap, ever since I started it has been a rush rush sort of project. No real place to work on it and never a chance to finish it(other than at work, no-go for me...) And has been a little more than frustrating with stupid little crap(all things I overlooked), and having to find a spot to pull the engine. Plus I'm a little less than impressed with the results but its adequate. Well, other than the smile it gives me when drive it. Easily has been the worse and most frusterating but challengine engine swap I have done(everything from a turbo 2l OBD2 swap into a Samurai, Turbo Justy, 6cyl into EA-81 Subaru, 250whp Ea-82 Wagon, Isuzu swaps, Other Yota swaps, blah blah blah whatever...) I'm at my wits end really with it and either the engine is getting pulled and sold, 2UZ goes in. Or the whole thing it being sold as complete(listed for to much money probably).

I've found a donor for the swap but that brings me back to no room and no patience right now for it. But then I need to keep a wheeler around for my own sanity, then we want a new clean 80 as a base camp mobile. What do you all think? Every day my mind changes but I keep returning to sell it as a whole if I can, get a clean 80 or 100, then when I have the room build a 4Rnr/40/Mini truck.

Not sure where this rambling gets me. Does this make any sense to you guys? What would you do?

Dont you still have the tracker?

If so i think youd be better off selling the 80 whole.

However selling an 80 and then rebuying an 80 doesnt really make sense to me. Unless maybe you could get a super low mile locker rig for a song.
Otherwise the 100 since it has the UZ already so you can just play.

I like where gnob is going with this. Sell the 80 complete and then SAS a 100. Axle swap is easier than engine swap. Then just keep a beater zuk around when you wanna go get dirty.
