I'm running the same wheels NorcalDoug has. I have a buddy who is manager at Discount tire. He hooked me up with the right rim. My wife was happy too because they don't cost a lot.

Bjowett, i went to the links you posted about the Tundra spare wheel.. idea. How do you go about modifying the backspacing on the wheel 3/4"?
It was posted in one of the links. He had a friend cut and reweld to the desired backspacing.

10-4 NorCal Doug.. this is all i saw.." The issue with running the Tundra wheels is the backspacing, which is 5". Although this will fit the cruiser, it narrows the track 1"/25.4mm over the stock 4.5" back spacing. Fortunately, the design of the wheel allows the center to moved in about 3/4" or 19mm... 4.25" of backspacing will do quite well!" Didnt say how he did it. I figured he was going to have cut and reweld though.

I LOVE my 80. Such a step up from the XJ. This thing wheels so well stock that I very rarely even have the desire to lift it. I go just about everywhere my XJ on half-tons and 35s went and this thing still drives straight as an arrow down the highway and looks nice to boot. Only times I miss the XJ is when the trails get really tight or I want to get a little wild. Trying not to incur too much body damage on this truck.

Glad to see you around here. Dave Nay was around here for a while, but I think he ended up getting a pathfinder or something

It was in this post

:)

Thanks for covering that, Doug!

The Michelins are neat, a very nice and capable tire, but WAY to heavy IMO. I never actually ran them on the Cruiser, that picture is of a trial fit on my buds Cruiser.
