I have an Element E50 fire extinguisher that had been hanging out in my glove box. To make it more easily accessible, I thought I would try putting it in the door pocket. I didn't want it to be horizontal in the door pocket because other stuff might get on top of it and make it more difficult to grab in case of a fire. It is not rubbing against anything and comes in and out of the foam with reasonable resistance. It hasn't moved with street driving so far, but I haven't been offroad.



I took a chunk of foam that was slightly larger than the door pocket, starting cutting a hole with a razor, then ended up using a hole saw to cut when it got too deep to use a razor. The hole saw worked surprisingly well on the foam that I was using. I will try to make another holder and use the hole saw to see if it comes out better.

 
that's perfect, thanks for sharing i may go this route. That storage all i use it for is trash.
 
With 3 pieces of cable ties, I used the c-clip plastic mount that the Element 50 came with. I wrapped it around the front plastic and metal panels below the driver seat and ended up with this:
