When driving over 50mph, the mirror (just mirror, not the whole cover, etc) will wobble. I think something is loose inside behind the mirror or a part is broken. Anyone had this, or is there a thread you can recommend me to when taking apart to check it out? thanks

I have the same issue, but have not investigated or found a solution yet. Just posting to say - you are not alone :)

What age or model years are we talking about here? Or maybe model year and milage, since that puts some wear on everything.

2009 and over 250k for me. Definitely not surprised or think that this is premature, just want to figure out how to fix it. Pretty annoying always having it flashing like a spinnerbait while you are riding down the highway.

The mirror is pretty simple to disassemble. Once you have the glass removed you can see inside to check if any screws are loose or if anything is broken. See this video for a point of reference on how to disassemble the mirror.

Appreciate it! I actually found this video after doing some further searching yesterday after my post. I am thinking of trying to pop the mirror off without taking the whole assembly, at least to get a closer initial look. My concern is that it may be that plastic pressure release that may have broken off. Not sure if you can buy individual parts for these or if you need the whole assembly kit.

There is a TSB and inexpensive kit to fix this. Resolved my issue. T-S8-0017 -11 (Exterior Rear View Mirror Vibration)

Thanks for sending. Very helpful. Wondering if you remember if they were the same size/spec bolts? Curious if it is just an issue where they need thread locker. Mine may just be loose and could be tightened or put some locker on them and put them back in.

IIRC, the removal of the small plastic cover is destructive, or easily so. That's why the replacement kit comes with one. The new bolts do come with plenty of blue on them, but I don't recall a diff in length. It will be faster (less effort) to order the kits than to run to Ace and match the bolts, probably. Probably similar impact on personal carbon footprint, which is 2.5 engine starts of your 200.
