Side mirror courtesy light proper function (1 Viewer)

Hi, can anyone explain to me how the side mirror courtesy lights are supposed to function.

My shop installed rock lights that are connected to the side step lights which are awesome but now the mirror lights don’t come on.

I need to understand the proper function of these lights so I can explain to them how it’s not working/what they messed up.

I’m assuming they’re just supposed to turn on/off when the side step lights turn on/off?

Hi,

I haven’t been able to work out how the mirror puddle lamps work on mine, but they are not directly tied to the step lamps!

Mine work but I can’t work out the sequence…

On my LX, if the doors are locked, the mirror lights come on as I approach the car. The system senses the key fob and turns on the lights so you can see.

Yup, that seems to be the only time they come on and if i disarm from the fob IIRC.

Wish they come on with the door ajar as they would help airing down/up when night wheeling.

Maybe a new hack to explore.
