I ran 4 gauge under hood for my self jump and BCDC - silicone sheathed copper welding wire.

As I recall, people don't like the heavy power wires up by the radiator because of accident damage risks, but it works for me.

Everything is on Slee trays.

Yes, the Switchpros is way under utilized so far in this build (only using it for self-jump) but it will get additional items added as I continue the build (I had it left over from my previous 200).

@CharlieS I just got one of these SafetyHubs. I can't tell from your photo - are you using AMI/MIDI lugs for ground? If not how are you grounding?

Nevermind, I get it

I'm definitely under utilizing the small fuse side of the safety hub so far. I run a heavy guage power to the safety hub, and the loads off the large lugs (bcdc, self jump, compressor, switchpros). Every load is grounded to the body (except my winch and compressor which are grounded to the battery). There's no lug for ground on the safety hub that i'm aware of.

Safety hub! Thanks again @CharlieS !

I’m only using 2 of the small fuses, I need to pull the other two out. But much tidier so far.

Where did you get the nut covers?

It looks great!

Those black caps from Redarc - they come on the terminals of the SBI12 - one of the customer service guys hooked me up with a half dozen.

bantam X spod for accessories
custom bracket with blue sea circuit breakers to separate batteries / redarc bcdc1250D
1/0 awg marine wire to the rear to a blue sea circuit breaker & blue sea fuse block for the rear accessories
How is your 1250D working.
I installed it and it is not charging. I verified wiring with Redarc support and it was all correct.
They think it is because 50amps is too much for the group35 AGM battery that I have.
I checked with voltmeter and when engine is running the charge voltage is always same as the battery voltage. I think there is something wrong with the bcdc unit.
Are you having any trouble with 1250D? What battery are you running as secondary?

Thanks for the info.

I have recently installed an arb twin with the sdhq mount. Im really liking the setup since it routes the female fitting to a diff location other than the compressor body.

Did you get your BCDC install sorted? Shoot me a PM if you need any help.

Curious on thoughts regarding lithium under bonnet? Heat an issue. I am planning RedArc bcdc 1250 d and have group 31 AGM already in US drivers side and struggling between a group 35 under bonnet AGM on US passenger side vs lithium in same location (preferred to save space) or trying to find room in the rear for lithium house battery somewhere inside my ARB drawers. Any thoughts?

Damn!

Thanks! Very neat and tidy! I already have slee accessory tray where your trexbox mount is. Currently have a noco 10amp pro on it. How do you find the capacity of the group 35 AGM for your aux? I run an ARB fridge and currently have a jackery 1000 that I use.

Most lithiums wont do underbonnet, cranking, alternator charging etc. The ones i supply will as they were designed from the ground up to do it. I dont run any lead acid or AGM types these days

Thanks! If you could shoot me a link to your lithium magic!? Would like to take a look. Assume you have a group 35 size? My ideal set up would be group 35 in slee dual battery tray with around 100 ah capacity with LIfeP04 chemistry. 100ah for what I plan to do is plenty. If I go for a longer trip of 7 nights or more like I did last spring I would just toss my jackery in to have backup.

The 75 DZ fridge is a power hog... That said I leave it on 24/7/365 and get a couple days on it.

Ideally I should swap the 35 to mains duty and run the 31 as the aux but I'm down the road on the setup and more than a tad lazy. :)

YOU said you wanted to See!

In terms of switches and connections I prefer the non-solid state. I like to be able to troubleshoot and repair on my own. I've seen a few of the SS types fail on trail and somebodies fridge dies and the lights aren't working. Just my preference.
