I want to shorten my 14 bolt rear axle and would like some input from those who have done this. Did you shorten the long side to match the short side or did you cut both ends down? Also, what did you use to hold (jig?) the ends straight? Where can I take the axle shaft to get cut down and re-splined in So.Cal.? Photos would be great.

Thanks

xjnation,

Thanks for the link.

Isotel,

I have a FF axle and it is going under a 45LWB and a Dana 60 going up front.

tony what you doing for the 60? full 69wms to wms? or cut down? if you cut it down. to 64.5 just get the dually hubs (like mine. its makes the axle to 63wms to wms. The both 14 bolt is the same housing just different hubs
