Snow wheeling Saturday :) I can test out the coatings and see how I'm doing on keeping warm. At this point, though I've only had it out in 40 degree weather - it's really easy to keep the temps warm inside. I do need to finish the heater system mostly because it gets pretty warm. I was worried that not trapping air via insulation would not be enough.... so far, the ceramic coating is amazing.

the plan is the center section could have a small, bench seat and the front cover could be removed for a place for feet. Behind the seat would go another box to take the gear that's in the footwell.... if I ever need it. For now it'll be a floor over the arb air bag and the tool/backpack well for my pooch to rest comfortably. Yeah, I know gas is inside - goes well with what's under the passenger seat AND most times the top isn't going to be on this....

I don't get it, he does the paws up to get boosted into the Hummer, but I can't get him to do the same thing on the tailgate of the '40.... with a name like Buick, though, maybe he's all about American made? that said, the '40 has more domestic content then my H3, so it's a puzzler for sure.

I am still thinking of something similar. However, split down the middle and either with opening lids or pull out drawers. I would love to have dog space in the back although my original idea was to mount my spare flat on top of the storage. Maybe a late winter project.

Looks like you are going to have a whole bunch of snow tomorrow. Wish I could go.

Beckler River Road, Snohomish County, Skykomish Washington... call it 9 am at the turn (just before the bridge going east - drive past the houses or to snow (whichever comes last). Snow wheeling. Come one, come all - it'll be soft and sloppy (just like we like it). There will be dogs, no alcohol, guns maybe.

*alternatively, we could meet at the bakery in Sultan (yum)

so the list to fix is actually pretty benign and short.
1) remove the driver's side header and fix a leak
2) fix a couple wiring issues (one headlight and a marker aren't working all the time)
3) get the front stabilizer on and maybe lower the panhard bar mount
4) fix the linkage for rear 4 lo - I didn't have low today because it wouldn't come out of high... I'm thinking I simply need to give up on this mechanism and try a different one
5) put a doggie block to keep Buick in the back.... he was a pain today
6) I'm going to change the thermostat again.... today, it was either 220* or 180*.... to me that's a faulty thermostat or the computer is bouncing between it thinking it's cold and richening the mixture (which is either a sensor or a computer)... so I'll change one at a time but see if I can't solve that
7) I need to raise the back at least 1 1/2"

In other news, the power steering cooler worked great and solved the whining issue
the water pump pulley fixed the squeak
there was only the occasional leak around the edges - and it was raining pretty steadily.

and in random news. the truck, loaded weighs 5060

I'm actually kind of surprised - I figured my continual bashing on them about being Jeep-only would take it out of the running. There is more press on this coming, but won't let the cat out of the bag until it happens... no dig on Pirate, though, in the upcoming press.
