Both rear wheel archs needed rebuilding, this is how I did it

Cheers VX, still got pics coming..

Now the roof repair was never supposed to be pretty, future plan is for a custom roof rack so I intentionally didn't go too hard on the smoothing. I just wanted it to be sound.

it was about this point in the build me and the wife decided to buy a house that was 7 hours drive away.
I didn't take anymore rust repair pictures as I was getting pretty well over body work and had some serious time restrictions to finish the job.
I will say the windscreen pillars where the least fun to repair....

Pics above are the first coat of primer

I wanted to stop there and throw some clear in and be done with it but I have some

metallic powders sitting around and though if I don't have a Crack at the metallic I'll be disappointed I didn't try.
All acrylic paint by the way. This is 3 litres of clear and 2 teaspoons of jet black metallic and 1 teaspoon of lime green metallic.

All from paintwithpearl.Com

These are the last pics I have of the outside, I have actually sanded and buffed the clear coat and it turned out ok. I'll post pics in a week or so when I'm back.

I was getting a new windscreen installed

in these pics and managed to score some single peice cargo glass and seals, I had 2 sets of sliding windows and they where both beyond repair.

Having had enough of outside fun I turned my attention to the interior as I had trashed the headliner fixing the roof I ripped out all the old wooly stuff and replaced it with 10mm foil back foam.
I made all new rods from 6mm aluminum rod.
I used brown suade and had a go on the wife's sewing machine. I was far too good at it than I care to say...

Looks great, seems you put a lot of work into that rust.
Like the slight black and green sparkle, am sure it looks even better in real life.
And the headliner looks nice too.
All in all makes me think I am far to lazy with my 60 so far.
But nice work just wanted to say that.

Thanks, I wouldn't worry, I've probably gone too far anyway
would I do it again? No.
Too many man hours but felt compelled to finish it.
