What do yo toys do with you waste coolant? I'm replacing FHH PHH and heater valve tonight.

Do you guys run the Toyota red only? I have a 95 80 with aluminum rad.

Anybody replaced the speakers in one of these? The pioneers that are so frequently referenced are in stock at Wally world. I suppose anything is better than stock.

Like everything else, there are many and varied opinions from general population.

I use Toyota Red in customer trucks and Green in mine. Green is good if you flush it all the way out and change it every 30K. Red can go out to 50 easy.

I put it in a 55g plastic drum and the oil guy takes it when he pumps out my used oil.

I think you should do a head gasket PM while you're in there. How else are you gonna baseline your head gasket?

Thanks. I guess people are just dumping it down the storm drain or something around here. I've never serviced my own coolant, always gone to jiffy lube and used their black box.

When you guys refill everything do yo just fill er up and run it/ burp it, or to you use some kind of vacuum rig or what? I bought some $3 thing that is just a tee that you put in at a high point and a nozzle for the rad cap. I read the fsm but I'm doing it shade tree style and the fsm procedures sometimes seem too robust and assume money is no object.

I ended up doing speakers and head unit the other night instead. I'm more comfortable with wires.

I just leave my old coolant out in a saucer for the neighborhood animals. They seem to enjoy it

its very sweet.

I just put it in Gatorade bottles and leave it at the local jr high.


Fill the radiator til it wont take any more fluid no matter how much you pump the upper hose....fill up the res...drive it around til it gets up to temp, check level....done.
