i guess i never really did a build page for "Dipity" I picked her up from Ashville back in Sept 2008 with 240K on her clock. This is the longest i have ever owned the same Vehicle.

she is pushing 430K now. and like everything else that gets old she has more then a few wrinkles. along the way we added an aussie locker in the rear and made a huge difference. later on we up-fitted her with some 4.88 gears and e-lockers and some 35's. she took use all over the place and meet all sorts of people and new friends along the way. about 299k the head gasket let go and we pulled the engine and had it rebuilt. My daughter dove it all thru school and then my son did the same. a couple years ago I installed a Supercharger and a 7th injector and some controllers to help with the 37's boy did this wake her up. now the kids are out doing there there thing i decided it was time to give her some much needed love as by now there isn't a straight panel on her. So, i found a very straight donor body for the make over. but, then i decided if a supercharger as fun then an LS should be a blast and since i'm taking the body off it seems like a good time to veer off on a tangent. so going to Sale some parts and step into the LS waters.

so with the new body stripped out i plan an coating the inside with some lizard skin and then maybe topcoat that with some raptor liner or similar to add some protection. then probably go back with some vinyl floor covering (up in the air on this). never really used the sunroof, might just weld it off at this point.
more to come. going to start looking for a 6.0 haven't decided on a transmission option yet, I would like to keep the AWD but, having the ability to go 2wd low or even do a front dig for that matter are still on the table at this point. since she is ODB1 will probably do something different with the gauge cluster as well.

dipity's current engine (rebuilt) with a Kazuma supercharger setup even have pair valve relocation pipes everything needed to run a SC on a 93-94. will also work for a 95+ (ODBII) 3" and 2.8" pulleys

have a spare 94 engine with 129K original miles on it.
A442 transmission with about low miles on it.

Why couldn’t this come up a few months ago, before I started building an engine for my 94? 😢

hey i left the passenger door straight for you :)

I have a 5.3 I got for free with 53k miles on it.
I really want to swap it into my 80 along with a 4L80E or 4L60E mated to the stock tcase.
Maybe next year.

i would shy away from the 4l60e.

I'm looking forward to this (and might follow in your footsteps).

Nice!!!
I know there is one excited 15 year old girl waiting to get that motor in "her" 80. Lol

Did you see torfabs new kit for the Gen V and 8-10 speed transmissions?
Makes the entire swap into FZJ80s a bolt on job.

Nope, but looking now
