Who all is leaving from the Raleigh area Saturday morning?

Unless something changes, I am. CB on 7

Are we having a group dinner Saturday night? If so, do we have any idea what needs to be provided, and in what quantity?

See post 105. I'm not clear on the "group dinner" idea because we pretty much bring everything. I guess the idea is that we will be sharing what we bring and be sorta family style...

just as I pulled into a parking spot at work after lunch, the steering got real sluggish, I heard a whine and there was a heavy smell of transmission fuild in the air. I looked under the cruiser and everything was wet and fuild was dripping from everywhere... (geee, just what i need now i thought) but I got lucky the power steering return hose dried out and cracked. So, I borrowed diggity's cruiser and went down the corner parts store, got some hose and ATF. 45 minutes later i am ready for the uwharrie trip again. :)

we will be leaving the mobil mart on 64/farmington rd at 5:30. and should be there around 7:30. we will be more then happy to help heather or whom ever needs an extra hand.

So, you're leaving Friday night? I'll give you a call when we're heading out. Hopefully about the same time. Just got off the phone with Jared, and he will try to be out by 5:30 or 6.

It was supposed to be kinda like the brown mountain trip. The tacos you make for you and yours and the side dish is for the pot luck

Don't you love last minute things. I've still got to put the relay rod on, and align the steering, tighten down the tie rod, tighten down the panhard and the shocks. This is before I leave for work then on my lunch break I can mess around with the diff breathers.

We are still coming down from Virginia Beach.
One of the jeep guys coming along is going down early to check out the park. He is in a dark green wangler, so dont shoot him.

-Dave

I most likely won't be able to get there untill tomorrow am. I got the wrongs size nuts for my shocks to go back on and am out of time.

bad nuts

Al, that sucks... get it done and get there. There will be plenty of wheeling left for you. good luck.

What CB channel and 2-way channel will we be using this weekend?

Any update on trail conditions? I have worn out BFG ATs and they really HATE red MUD. If you get a trail ride in tonight, please let me know about the mud. roane3@gmail.com

We are planning on being there at 930 in the am from Raleighworld. It will be me and my 2 girls.

Greg - Let me know about the caravan.

Also, has anyone ever done any horseback riding up there? The girls would like to go riding after lunch tomorrow.

Yeah, AT's suck in the clay mud. Dealt with that on my wife's 80 last trip to URE - it was like running slicks.

I'm gonna try to leave from work (Durham) sometime between 5 and 6. Hope to see ya on the way. I assume you're taking Rt. 64, right?

It is supposed to pour down tomorrow. So that should be fun :grinpimp:

I should be up and running fairly shortly tonight so I still could make it out there tonight. Only problem is that I forgot to air out my tent from the last camping trip where it poured down on us. So depending on how that goes  it will most likely be tomorrow am again.

It must be my Oregonian spirit that brought the rain. It seems like it never rains in this part of the state except every time I try to go out and do something. Hmmm wonder if I can just hide in the truck...probably not with 2 women 2 dogs and a 2 year old. YIKES.

Ohh if it does rain I might be riding with someone else. I don't even have the luxery of AT's. Street tires baby and 28"'s of them.

You are going to be banned from our future rides. Cullowhee we had that nasty storm, OBX got very nasty last year, Virginia we had tons of rain, and now this weekend.

Or, we could set up a ride and have you go by yourself, then we'll all go the following weekend.;p;):flipoff2:
