Yeah we've got plenty you can borrow, and most of use are going the CB route anyway

Well, I'm out. I thought I would be able to make this one, but the wife informs me that I have prior commitments. Doh!

Stoked about this weekend. Is the meet time at the Outpost 8:00am or 8:30am?

I'm sticking with our Prez's original Uwharrie schedule

https://forum.ih8mud.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=323725&d=1242152784

Just take out the training/clean up sections. Insert a TBD run on Sunday morning...

So it's 8:30-9 ,meet up
9am safety inspections
Rollin out will be depending on inspection time, no later than 10

During lunch we'll discuss the afternoon rides and some people may want to ride during the afternoon "More Moderate" ride to Daniel.

Remember everyone's responsible for bring enough meat product, and "wrappers" (tortillas, taco shells, etc.) for the people in your rig. You must also bring a mexican themed side dish of your choice. Also, bring some fixins' sour cream, cheese, onions, etc. Just bring a little something extra...

When is this mexican meal? Saturday night?

When are people planning on being there on Friday? I was thinking about leaving Durham around 12-1ish.

Is the Mexican meal for those staying for dinner Saturday evening?

I am new to Uwharrie, so bear with me. This will likely be a family first, four-wheeling second, type trip.

What is there for kids? Is there a swimming beach?

Is there an office/ranger station to check in at, has maps/info, sells ORV passes, etc?

Anyone ever paddle there? Over-run with powerboats?

Sorry for the questions. I have 2 very active boys, so we want to keep them busy.

Robert

No worries, planning is a good thing, keeping the family happy is part of the program.

Check this website out, should answer a couple questions for you.

Uwharrie Mountains

The Outpost is the best resource for maps/info/passes/etc. If they have bikes, I'd bring them since there is plenty of room for them to ride around...

Any plans for group dinner Friday?

When is the RDU train heading out on Friday?
I prob won't be free til after work - so could leave 6ish from the McD's on 64.

I'm only staying Fri night - playing guitar at Church on Sun.

Wish I could make it, but I don't think I'm going to have time to replace a birfield this week:frown:

Come on out and ride with someone :) you're more than welcome to shoot on out with me and my wife

Then you'll HAVE to go on Daniel.... and let both of them drive.. :grinpimp:

Do you have kayaks? I haven't actually been, but i can bring some if there is interest in doing some kayaking that weekend...

I've only got 3, I'd have to get Jerry's (since I'm buying it anyway).

As far as dinner on Friday, I had nothing planned since people will be trickling in (myself included). Did I mention I was getting off a plane a 6pm that night, and technically it will be midnight for me!

Yep. I'd say for friday it's a free for all. I'll most likely eat on the way there
