Total I have over $47,000 cash in this vehicle. All that needs to be done is to put it back together. LOL Anybody up to the challenge? I just do not have the time, know-how, or patience to do it myself. Every part is already painted, I did not wet sand it yet, wanted to wait until it's all put together. I have a ton of more photos, there just painted parts and boxes of the new parts that are still in the boxes. You are welcome to call me if you are interested in buying it. 469-499-4495 Don

You are so close. Keep it and just focus on accomplishing one piece at time. You could have it done in short order considering where you are now.

Where are you located? Do you have the hard too for sale?

Agreed this should go to the FJ40 classified section.

I understand that you have a sh!t ton of money into it but what are you looking to get? I don't want to insult you with an offer that's lower than what you have into it, but that's the reality of restoring a car.

I was really into low riders, mini trucks, and the like as a "youth". I'd see guys put, I'm not kidding, 20k into a paint job. Then offload their car for ~5k because they'd get discouraged and not land the project because they were chasing a new carrot. I know I'm comparing apples to oranges here, but you get the idea.

That being said, unless you get it back together and running. Work out the kinks, you aren't going to see a ROI.

Looks like ‘74-later rig with a V8 conversion intended?

With the 6.2 I would hope it is older than 75. I’m already dealing with getting my engine swap approved by air care. 😭

just wondering... still for sale?
Yes still for sale I moved it over the classified section.....I will make someone a great deal. Goodys off-road said they would put it all together for me, but I would rather someone have fun and finish it call me if you interested

Make me an offer I know I will lose money....The off-road shop that was going to put it together for me has been putting me off for 4-5 months. At this point, i just want to move it to someone that will finish it

@OFF MAP , I had a few questions for you:

Did I miss what year your 40 is?
The rear wheel wells look larger than stock. Are they cut?
Do you have more photos?
