Hey all, i own a FJ70 cruiser with an FRP top which is in pretty bad shape. I have the original rag top and would like to know if anyone has any pics or plans of how to put the rag top on. I seem to have misplaced the original tubes for the truck so i would like to get some suggestions on what to do.. maybe a rollbar to hold the ragtop up or something.... any suggestions are wellcome...

thanks,
Albertom

Thanks for the link crushers... looks awsome, i wanna be able to do that!

has anyone done some variation of the OEM soft top? say roll bars or something like that?

Also, is there such thing as the beam plans for the top so i can copy them here?

Just trying to get around the hastle of shipping it from japan to a third world country...

Thanks again!

Getting everything tight is a drama if you dont have all the original frame.
For the roll bar I would fit the soft top(after you get all the parts together) and build the roll bar inside the soft top.

Maybe you could contact Island Moose for the frame measurements if he is not too busy with his studies

If you try and stretch the soft top over a roll bar chances are it wont look right and will flap around in the wind.
The only other option is to build a rollbar and find a local canvas worker who fit something to it.
Im thinking of building a rollbar under my 75 series canvas top to replace the frame but this is a bit more simple than a factory soft top
