1992 Land Cruiser HDJ80 VX, LHD, 5-speed manual (H151F), full-time four-wheel drive, 1HD-T, 228,200 kilometers (~142,000 miles), 12V. European model, basically stock. Clean Washington State title.
I imported the truck in May, 2021 (at 215,xxx kilometers) and immediately had @torfab do some significant work including: new 1FZ alternator conversion, new fan clutch, new AC compressor and o-rings and recharged with R134A, rear axle rebuilt, front and rear brakes rebuilt with new rotors, calipers, pad, among other items. Timing belt and water pump were also replaced. More recently I had the starter motor replaced.
The interior is in good shape (8/10). There’s the usual tear on the driver’s seat. Third row seats included. The truck was resprayed red in Spain, but the exterior paint has scratches on the front left quarter panel (see pictures) as well as some fine gouges on the hood. But the bones are great – the frame, drip rails, and wheel wells are all incredibly rust-free. Engine runs strong and does not burn oil.
Other things to note:
Biggest issue: The sunroof drain blocked on passenger-side A-pillar, which has causes it to leak and has damaged the interior fabric covering. I have tried to address the block, but will leave it up to the next owner if they want to try something else or just seal the sunroof shut.
Other known issues:
Despite the obvious capabilities of the 80-Series, I’ve never really loved the truck and owning a >30 year-old truck make no sense unless you love it. So, I going back to a 70-Series.
Asking $25,000
I will delete this ad as soon as the truck is sold. Thanks for looking.

Other things to note:
- Tinted windows
- OEM roof rack
- Tires are LT33/10.5/R15 BFG All-Terrains KO2 with only ~8000 miles on them.
- Center Differential Lock (CDL) works properly

Other known issues:
- Clutch pedal stiff at first use (undiagnosed cause)
- The lock on the passenger side front door sticks
- Feeble steam of windshield washer fluid. I think the pump is on its way out.
- Central overhead interior light not working
- Rear fog light not working (but was before)
- Trip odometer nonfunctional
- Fuel gauge tops out at ¾ full, even when completely full
- Right rear bumper end cap is loose and needs new hardware
- Hand throttle works, but knob is broken
