Seatbelt and rollbar bolts (1 Viewer)

Are there 2 different size bolts that attach the roll bar to the body? For some reason the PO has different size bolts attaching the seatbelts to the rollbar and body...

Yes - the seat belt bolts are SAE fine-thread (7/16", I think) - not metric. This was true on my '65 FJ45 and on my '78 and '80 FJ40. Don't ram the incorrect metric bolt into the SAE hole (it's tempting...)

The US DOT mandated that seat belts in any US car or imported car had to be secured with 7/17 SAE thread bolts. It's the only US bolt you will find in a land cruiser.....
