To my uncritical ass, the LX seats are harder - even crinkle-ly feeling. Obviously the '99 LC and "05 LX seats are similar - kinda like different shoes built on the same last. Maybe the difference is use - the LX doesnt have 2k on it yet. Niether fit as nice as the GX. If the top photo in your first post is from an 80 LC, the GX seats are similar to those. Hard to tell from photos tho. If it helps whatever you are doing I can post pics of all 3.

yes, the top pic is that from the 80 series.
At the moment I'm only trying to somehow flatten the bottom of the seats which at their lowest position is almost at a 30 to 45 degrees slant towards the rear. makes it very uncomfortable to sit as if you're sitting on a proper seat.
this is basically just a trick to increase legroom at the expense of added back pressure, which they havent even compensated for due to lack of support as seen in the pics. ! toyota did make a cheap one when it came to the seat design on the 100 series. very dissappointed.
even the 87 corolla has better seating ergonomics.
