So, my search fu failed. A few years ago I remember reading a thread about someone who sanded and painted the windshield cowl covers. At over $200 a pop for each side, think this is the way to go. Any suggestions or tips on refurbing them is appreciated. TIA.

That’s the best rattle can paint I’ve ever used. Superrrr durable, doesn’t require primer, sprays smooth and looks super smooth. I painted my boat trailer and several other parts with this stuff a few years ago and it’s holding up amazing.

I would just get some 3M scuff pads (or similar), scuff the cowling down as best you can, wipe it down with 70 or 90% IPA and lay a couple coats of this paint on there and call it a day. Should be under $30 all in.
