Sun-baked plastic cowl - Paint it? Replace it? (1 Viewer)

My guy painted and I can’t tell. Looks great and no degradation despite being outside in the sun all day long

Can you take pic of the entire cowl? Or one side? Curious as to the difference between cold weather and standard.

I agree either the mesh is different or there is some type of scoop to prevent snow and ice from getting in. Only thing I can think of.

I used some Cerakote trim restorer and mine looks great now.

I'm giving it one more shot. Yesterday, I cooked the cowl with a heat gun, let it cool, then fed it a lot of 303 Protectant. I'm going make a concerted effort to keep it fed - and see if it lasts more than a few weeks / couple months.

Mark the date: 3.17.25... I'll report back

Looks great. I think I’m going to copy you on that as mines graying as well. Like that your rocking the OEM wipers too, the best in my opinion.
