Scout PS Mounting Plate and Ford Shock Tower

I got a piece of 3/4 " plate to mount scout ps box to frame rail. My question is, should I fab is such that my ford shock tower is also welded to the plate. I wouldn't think that bringing the shock tower out that 3/4" off the frame rail would make much of any difference.Thanks..

Using the Ford shock tower " off the frame its self " will result in a shoaller angle, than stock in itself. Spacing it 3/4" out more would get it close to 90* to the axel ( rough comparision just for example ). I would go straight off the frame myself, to keep some angle. JMO, Al
