Very interesting, but I don't get how your system works.
Would you mind laying out how it all works?
Are you using a charging battery to run your fridge?
I may want to try this myself even though I have dual batteries.

There are 4 ways to charge this Jackery. The quickest is by plugging the power brick into a 110 source in conjunction with the USB C port. By plugging cooler or other electric devices into the solar generator and charging it at same time it's called "pass through charging". I have a little 300 watt inverter just for this purpose.

The three other was of charging are not as efficient. 12volt, USB C and solar panel (unless you have more than one 100W panel).

I also have a dual battery setup in my truck with solar charge controller. This gives me the luxury of a few power sources for various devices. It's not needed though. With my cheap Chinese cooler in So Cal desert heat, I can run it off the small 300 Jackery (stand alone) for about 18 hours before it dies. With just a 100 watt portable solar panel I can do a whole weekend and still have over 60% left on the Jackery.

They come in different sizes all the way up to a huge 1500. Having a dual battery setup puts you ahead of the game in versatility.

This is similar to my setup, plug portable battery into 110v socket at back of truck, plug fridge into battery.
My battery doubles as a solar generator so I can plug my folding solar panel directly into it without needing to get a separate device.
The portable battery changes when driving or via solar when parked for extended periods.

To clarify I have done all this in the past. I have a goal zero yeti 400 and a fridge. I just have learned to appreciate the fail proof ness of a cooler and the nice compact footprint without having to have wires and bring a bunch of extra stuff or modify the electrical of the vehicle (been there too). It is nice to not have ice, but there’s definitely an increase in system complexity.
If I really miss the fridge, I’ll definitely come back and update 👍🏻

Edit: Another negative to a fridge for me is sleeping in the rig. The nice quiet GX interior is ruined by the noise of the fridge.

Excited to try the lauded Lifetime cooler.

Appreciate the realism of your build! Have enjoyed the thread this morning and look forward to following along! Lots of ideas for my build coming up!

Headed to Walmart this morning for a cooler!

Nice weekend at Paris Mountain state park. Girlfriend’s kids first camping trip not in the backyard. It got down to 32 but everyone had good sleep kits. Cooler performed great. Need to work on some organization in general. Clam gazebo canopy was a lifesaver to block the cold wind around the picnic table. Working on perfecting our camp fire cooking. Takes a lot of planning and patience to get it right!

We had a blast. Kids made tons of friends and rode bikes all weekend. Nice picnic hike Saturday. Looking forward to renting a paddle boat and canoe at the lake sometime soon. The park is a leisurely 10 minutes from my door. Bathrooms are super clean and warm. The staff was overly helpful delivering us firewood bc they were concerned we weren’t getting our fair share. Quiet place, even on a busy weekend. Have to book about 2 months or more ahead for a weekend spot in season.

Burning some yard waste. New hip gaiters for the pond muck. Top of the food chain surf fishing gear. And lifetime has ice 7 days later… cool weather in the garage.

Lexus of Greenville charging $185 PER diff and transfer case to replace fluids. Not sure the going rate on this but I agreed to do all three at 60k. Thank goodness the rest of the service was covered by my pre-owned service contract (brake fluid replace, air filters, tire rotation, oil and oil filter).
Will be doing as much maintenance in my driveway as I feel comfortable with from this point on. Will definitely be taking to the dealer for transmission fluid flush before 100k but hoping to do everything else myself until then 🤞🏻
Leaving for cape lookout this Monday 🙌🏻

And water pump was leaking so they replaced it under warranty. Made it right before warranty 😅
Headed to pick her up now 👍🏻

I had mine done when I got my new to me 2015 checked out by the local Lexus dealer a couple months ago. Front and rear diff were $175 each. X fer was $150 (labor was less than the diffs). Seems like you're in the same ballpark.

Appreciate the feedback! Glad it’s all done. Not looking forward to the cc bill this month. Ac repairs, Lexus maintenance, and vacation to cape lookout 🤷🏻‍♂️

So a nor’easter has cancelled our trip to cape lookout!!! 😭

But I scrambled and found a nice tent spot on the beach further south at hunting island state park near Beaufort SC! Happy to have found an alternative beach plan on such short notice. Would have been heartbreak for me and lil boo if we didn’t get our beach vacay 😅

Lemonade from lemons I guess. Plan to still have a blast if a slightly different adventure.

Does that mean we may get another member on the forum??
He has a 2014 200 he barely drives and it’s mostly stock. Think he plans to keep it that way for when he needs more seats and the truck just keeps appreciating! Just think he got a thrill out of driving my modded rig. He is too old school and too busy to be on here 🤷🏻‍♂️

Most he cares about forums is when his local mechanic mentions they follow my build on a forum 🤪
