If you ever want to add an LED light bar to your Gamiviti rack, I have a template I made for cutting out a clear sheet of Lexan/polycarbonate/plexiglass for a clear fairing.
Love that idea and your rig! You’re about 1,000 mods ahead of meIf you ever want to add an LED light bar to your Gamiviti rack, I have a template I made for cutting out a clear sheet of Lexan/polycarbonate/plexiglass for a clear fairing.
The template needs to be printed out at 1 to 1 scale (1:1, 100% or Full depending upon how your printer reads) on 11" x 17" paper and then just splice them together, trim and you have your template! I purchased the clear material from our local Lowes hardware store.

The damage.... Note the completely pinched off section in the middle. When I backed up to align for a new approach angle, the tail pipe went into the boulder behind me. We were able to unbolt it on the trail and continued on. About $350 to replace. :meh: The price of entertainment for the...forum.ih8mud.com
I've got bolt-ons from Metal Tech. Rumor has it that when you weld it weakens the frame and is prone to rusting on the inside of the frame as well.View attachment 2841133
Chatting with Chad at BashFab about swinging by this weekend to take measurements for my sliders and get the ball rolling. Does anyone know if the length is significantly different than T4R sliders? Could save a lot of time if so. I’ll probably just tell him to weld them on. I loved the strength with my Tundra!
Do the metal tech use ubolts to mount to the frame like the WKOR?I've got bolt-ons from Metal Tech. Rumor has it that when you weld it weakens the frame and is prone to rusting on the inside of the frame as well.
I’ll send a picture when I leave workDo the metal tech use ubolts to mount to the frame like the WKOR?
I’ll have to keep eyes peeled for ya!

We went Easter weekend last year it was cold in the shade but perfect in the sun. It was super windy! make sure to get a awning wall extension or flip your rig around to block it. Fill up before you go across beach driving sucks up a lot of gas and the gas on the island is super expensive. Bring more food and beer you think you need. North part less secluded but the tide can come in on you high tide line was 12 feet from our rig!Hard mounted an Apache box from Harbor Freight to the Gamiviti yesterday. Trialing all the recovery gear in there to make room for other things inside the cabin.
Starting to plan and prep for a Cape lookout OBX trip this May. Been watching all the YouTube videos. Looks like you just need to be prepared for anything especially windy conditions and be ready for sand all the sand.
Also it’s pretty remote, but there are showers, fresh water, and petrol available at the small group of cabins near the ferry let off. Have to get a ferry slot and the driving pass in advance. ⛴
Let me know if you have stories good or bad about visiting the Cape Lookout National Seashore and beach camping in general.
I know rule number one for beach driving is airing down. But I think it should be fun and perfectly reasonable with the GX.
