Scored a well built '76 for less than it would cost me to fly my family to Hawaii :D Should only take a couple days after work to get some things dialed in. Looks like my '75 is going to serve plow duty for a little longer.

I'll get some more pics up soon.

Wow. That thing looks and sounds like it can devour rocks.

I did. Great guy. Moving and needs to liquidate. He's even throwing in a new fiberglass tub, ton of spare parts and axle housings, set of usable 35's, a nice FJ60 body and frame and spare rolling chassis for the '40.

I'll prob toss some 4runner seats in it, rust-bullet the interior floorpan and diamondplate fenders/fenderwells and touch up a few things but he did a great job on the build.

nice, sounds like a monster!

any chance you can get palin to lay across the hood for photos?

It was Gabes FJ. He did a great job on it.

A few more pics of the rig. I've been going thru and replacing some hoses and wiring under the hood. It needs a new rear driveshaft so that's getting done this week and after I get the new kickdown cable for the TH350 I'll take some snow wheeling pics

Nicely made removable mudflaps. Cool little mount inside for the extremeair compressor.

The 203 case was missing a shifter and interfered with the twinsticks for the toy case, so I made a new shifter and modified the 2/4wd lever for clearance. Got some goodies in from AA to round out the job.

Also replaced the leaky heater lines for the rear heater. almost there...

Narrowed a bezel to fit the front tube grille. Cleaned it up a little. I'm not sure how I feel about the grille guard on the front. It's super stout but kind of ugly.

What do you guys think? KEEP IT, JUNK IT or ORDER THE MT STINGER KIT AND BE DONE WITH IT?

I made a few alterations to the front end and installed some rear kc floodlights on the tire carrier.

Also got a sweet set of ambulance doors...they're getting sandblasted right now, then will get fresh weatherstrip and a rebuild.

Mods to the front bumper look great, seems less messy.

thanks. wanted to cut the whole thing off and bend up something nice but it does the job and is already there, so I'll prob just grind down the corners to pretty it up a bit and call it good.
