So a couple weeks ago we drove out in the snow to drop of the kids at the in-laws. I wouldn't say it was snowing too hard. But it certainly was sub-freezing temps. Figure it was single digits to teens. This is all in Northern Virginia as well.
Didn't blast the defrost, in the sense, didn't turn the temp up to high and the fan up to full. But had the temp set at 76 and fan set to high. Also would go in to the Climate screen and cut on the de-icer. But the wipers kept icing up and I kept having to pull over about every 30 minutes to clear ice off the wipers and the sides of the windshield.
Maybe cutting the temp up to high and the fan to high would have been what was needed to do the trick? Would have thought 76 and fan on high in defrost mode and the wiper de-icer would have done it.
