Regrettably I have to offer up for sale my dream LHD turbo diesel 80. I have invested substantial time and money to bring this dream Cruiser to fruition. While it pains me greatly to have to let her go, I have a growing repair and restoration business, and I simply need funds to expand my current workspace. For all intents and purposes, it is mechanically new. I sourced as much of the drivetrain as I possibly could from Toyota including the 1HZ short block, H55, Spiltcase, etc. A few items such as the head, injection pump, and injectors are rebuilt OEM parts. I have put approximately 3K miles on her since completing the swap, and she is fully dialed in and ready to go for the next 100k. The interior is in fantastic condition with new leather throughout. The exterior, while she looks fantastic in the pictures, is the original paint and has plenty of age appropriate scratches, knicks, dings, etc. The exception being the front bumper is new OEM, and the rear has been repainted recently to help tidy things up. The truck doesn’t have a spot of rust on it and is extremely clean underneath as the pictures below will show.

I feel this is a unique 80, I know there are plenty of RHD turbo diesels running around and even a few original LHD ones and conversions. However, those vehicles have well-used drivetrains in them that are 25 years old with 100k plus miles. My truck provides the opportunity to have a mechanically new turbo diesel LHD 80 series, and thus my asking price reflects this unique opportunity. Currently I am asking $45,000 firm.

Please PM and I can provide my phone number to interested parties to discuss the truck in detail.

Thanks!
JP

The wife and I drove down to meet JP and see the cruiser. JP is awesome, and we had a great time talking and getting to know each other. The test drive was great. Driving this turbo diesel and manual is just plain fun. The 5 speed shifts great, and the engine and turbo is super smooth. The ride is very comfortable due to his spring/shock selection, and the interior is quiet due to the sound deadening.

JP’s attention to detail is top notch and I am super happy to be the new owner.

Thank you so much for the kind words Brad! It was great meeting you and your wife and I couldn’t be more thrilled as I believe the 80 has found the perfect couple to take care of and truly enjoy her. I can’t wait to see the adventures y’all have in the old girl:beer:
